How to Train Your Dragon - more detailed
Yeah, here's the more detailed version of the "OMFG IT'S F**** GREAT" post before this one ^^
Story
The story is rather simple. It doesn't really have many subplots besides the very tiny romance (there are only about three or four VERY short moments, they almost don't count *lol* and one SLIGHTLY longer one - but if you concentrate on the other things that are going on it also doesn't count).
Usually, I love complicated plots, but this story was so cute and funny and lovely that I honestly don't give a shit that it's simple.
Next comes a small spoiler, so DON'T READ if you don't want to be spoiled.
I don't like the fact that the other kids are so fast convinced of the fact that dragons aren't evil, since they've been raised to kill them...
Characters
Hiccup is so lovely ♥. He's different from the usual heroes, and three dimensional so that he instantly drew me into the story.
I can't really give you a direct citation from the movie, since I watched it in German (and can't remember everything correctly), but:
"You must feel helpless and sad[...]"
"*sarcastically* Yeah, nice we talked about it."
The next line is a spoiler for the end of the movie, so DON'T READ if you don't want to be spoiled.
What also made me REALLY love the movie is that Hiccup loses his left leg, which I've never seen happening to the usual heroes. He doesn't come out of the fight unharmed. That's a major plus with me ♥.
Toothless is the cutest dragon EVER. He's so funny and sweet~ And his big eyes! *sigh* His behaviour reminds me a little of a mixture between a cat and a dog *lol*
The rest is quite cool too. I like Gobber, he's too funny with his bad advise xD
"Trolls do exist! They always steal my left socks!"
And sooo... well, a bit more detailed than the last entry, but I don't want to go into too much detail for now. Watch that movie yourself :P
